Track Review : Nutty O - Go Down & Gimme Dat ft (Etherton Beenie)

Nutty O is a fast rising Zim Dancehall artiste. Unlike many artists Nutty O is eyeing the continental and international dancehall market. His songs are a mixture of Shona and English and he uses the format used by Jamaican and Nigerian dancehall artists. Although overshadowed by the Mbare trio locally his music is most likely to be the first to enter the continental market. He is signed to Kenako Music and the top guys at the label are making serious moves to enter the continental market, that all bodes well for Nutty O and other label mates such as Roki.

However having an organised record label is not a guarantee for success, the artiste must put in the required work and obviously have to be talented. Nutty

Nutty O released the track Go Down, produced at the Kenako Studios by DJ Tamuka. The instrumental is fire, it more afro beat than dancehall.  The instrumental can make Nigerian producers envious. am loving it. Nutty O did justice on the track, giving us a great song Go Down. The song is right on time with summer descending upon us, the track will be sounding from many stereos this August Holiday going forward. Nutty O sometimes sound Nigerian on this track but its minor and does not take anything away for the brilliance of the track. The track is dope and a video like now will catapult the song to greater heights and onto a much wider audience (African Audience.) hope Kenako are already making a video for this track...fingers crossed.

He also released Gimme Dat ft Judgement Yard's Etherton Beenie. Am not 100% sure who between Abra Sims or Kenako made the instrumental. The instrumental is great, l hear some elements of Boombox riddim which were borrowed by the producers. Nutty O delivered his signature high level perfomance we have come to expect. Etherton Beenie  he gave us a few lines and they go pretty well with the song. Also expecting a video for this track, a super video of the Alleluya standard will take this song far.

Nutty O has a bright future is he keeps putting in the work, he may not that big now but watch out for this lad. Africa we coming for you.
